Meet the Team
The brains behind the 'sweets' in Dylana's.
Hi, I'm Dylana
The founder of Dylana's Sweet Treats, a women-owned business in the heart of Brooklyn, NYC.
As a trained chef and culinary arts instructor with over a decade of experience, I've cultivated a passion for delicious and decadent foods deeply rooted in my Trinidadian heritage. My approach to baking and dessert-making involves taking traditional recipes and elevating them with Caribbean spices and culinary techniques, resulting in unique, Caribbean-inspired desserts that have become the hallmark of our small batch bakery.
Growing up, I watched my mom and granny prepare for baking by grating fresh coconut, zesting limes, and measuring ingredients by sight and intuition - rarely did they use recipes. This resulted in the intoxicating aroma of fresh bread baking in the oven, rich black cake, Ponche de Crème for the holidays, and curries simmering on the stove. These experiences shaped my culinary journey and inspired me to create artisanal desserts that honor these traditions while incorporating local, organic ingredients.
I've always been particular about my meals - just ask my friends! I appreciate quality food, bold flavors, and culinary flair. This is exactly what you should expect when you experience Dylana's Sweet Treats, whether you're indulging in our famous bread pudding, setting up a dessert bar for your Brooklyn event, or ordering corporate gift baskets.
We take pride in offering a range of services, from corporate catering to creating stunning dessert bars for events in Brooklyn and throughout NYC. Our commitment to using local, organic ingredients ensures that each bite of our artisanal desserts is not only delicious but also supports sustainable practices.
At Dylana's Sweet Treats, we believe in bringing people together through the joy of food. Whether you're looking for individual treats, event catering, or corporate gifting solutions, we're here to sweeten your day with our unique blend of Caribbean-inspired flavors and Brooklyn charm.
